Mariam Pipiya graduated from Caucasus University with a BA Honours Degree in Public Administration. As part of an exchange program, for one semester she studied at Tallinn University of Technology, School of Business and Governance. After receiving a scholarship at the University of Glasgow, she continued her studies at Adam Smith Business School and completed her MA Degree in Public Policy and Management with Merit.
Mariam Pipiya has started her professional career in 2015. She was an intern at the Ministry of Finance and the State Audit Office of Georgia. Mariam worked at the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. From 2018, she is an invited lecturer at Caucasus University. She has joined the PBO team in 2020.
Mariam Pipiya has attended trainings and courses of the IMF, JVI, CEF Slovenia, and USAID on the topics of RIA, GIA, Inclusive Growth, PFM, Financial and Expenditure Analysis. She is the author of several thematic publications.
In addition to native Georgian, Mariam speaks English, Russian and French.
